PublicationThe CdII atom in the title complex, [Cd(C12H27O3SSi)2-(C3H4N2)], is penta-coordinated by two O and two S atoms from the O,S-chelating silanethiolate residue and one pyrazole N atom in a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry. The pyrazole ligand forms an intramolecular N-H---O hydrogen bond.

Intramolecular interactions in crystals of tris(2,6-diisopropylphenoxy)silanethiol and its sodium salts
PublicationHydrolytically stable tris(2,6-diisopropylphenoxy)silanethiol has been obtained and reacted with sodium. Solid state interactions within and between the molecules of tris(2,6-diisopropylphenoxy)silanethiol including S-H---π-interactions between the S-H unit and the π-system of the arene have been analyzed. PublicationAnaliza 113Cd NMR dla reakcji bis[bis(tri-tert-butoksysilanotiolanu)kadmu(II)] z 3,5-dimetylopirydyną została przeprowadzona w roztworze benzenu-d6 i toluenu-d8. Otrzymane wyniki wskazują, że w roztworze istnieje równowaga pomiędzy powstającymi mieszanymi kompleksami kadmu z ligandami siarkowymi i azotowymi.

Jon kadmu(II) znajduje się w centrum bipiramidy o podstawie trójkątnej, utworzonej przez 5 atomów - 2 atomy siarki, 2 atomy tlenu i jeden atom azotu. Między cząsteczkami kompleksu upakowanymi w krysztale nie ma oddziaływań innych niż oddziaływania van der Waalsa.

The extension of the network does not enhance the luminescent properties of the ligands however it gives rise to the new MLCT bands in the visible region.

Wzór ogólny tych kompleksów to Zn(SSi(OBut)3)2L, gdzie L=alfa-pikolina, 2,4-lutydyna, N-metyloimidazol lub Zn(SSiOBut)3)2L2, gdzie L=N-metyloimidazol lub pirydyna. Określono strukturę krystaliczną otrzymanych związków oraz zmierzono widma IR i NMR.

Isostructural zinc and cadmium silanethiolates with bridging biimidazole co-ligands – Enhanced luminescence of zinc complex
PublicationTwo dinuclear complexes of zinc and cadmium with silanethiolate and bridging biimidazole ligands are characterized by X-ray diffraction, FT-IR, UV–Vis and emission spectroscopies. The complexes 1 (Zn) and 2 (Cd) are isostructural but exhibit different electronic structures and different character of frontier HOMO orbitals as indicated by DFT calculations. Lluminescence studies prove strong emission properties of zinc complex.

New heterometallic Co/Zn, Ag/Co, and Ag/Zn imidazolates: structural characterization and catalytic activity in the oxidation of organic compounds
PublicationNanocrystalline powders of monometallic and bimetallic imidazolates of Co, Zn, and Ag were produced by a reaction carried out in water. The powders were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction and the crystal structures of new compounds Ag2ZnIm4 and Ag2CoIm4 (Im = imidazolate) were solved.
