Biography

Born on 1 December 1972 in Gdynia.
 
Education and professional experience:
June 1997 MSc in Physics, Gdańsk University, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics;  
October 1997 – August 2003 – Assistant at Gdańsk University of Technology (GUT),  Faculty of Applied Physics nad Technical Mathematics, Department of Physics of Electronic Phenomena;
June 2003 – PhD in Physics, thesis advisor prof. dr hab. Mariusz Zubek;  
September 2003- January 2013 – adjunct; since February 2013 – senior lecturer in  Department of Physics of Electronic Phenomena.
Since 2008 -  leader of Physics in Medicine – one of four specializations of the interdepartmental course of Biomedical Engineering (IBM); a member of a Programme Board of Biomedical Engineering and a Steering Committee of the "Human Capital Operational Programme" Priority IV, Measure 4.1 entitled "Strengthening the didactic potential of universities" granted by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (2009-2015).
Since September 2016 a Vice-Dean for Education in the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics.

Author and co-author of 18 scientific publications in electron scattering on atoms and molecules of biological importance as well as processes of photoionization and photo fragmentation of molecules (research visits: University of Manchester, Innsbruck Universitaet, Daresbury Synchrotron Radiation Source Daresbury). Author of 2 textbooks: „Biophysics” oraz  „Radiobiology and radiological protection” (Wydawnictwo PG 2015). 

Supervisor of 40 engineering and 15 master theses.

Teaching areas (lectures, laboratories, problems, seminars, group projects): regular courses in physics, nuclear physics, biophysics, optical and collisional spectroscopy, radiobiology and radiological protection, radiation dosimetry in radiodiagnostics, therapy, nuclear medicine and  occupational health care.

a member of scientific and steering committee of conferences “e-Technologies in Engineering Education” (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017)
a reviewer of scientific publications on e-learning in journals: e-Mentor and Zeszyty Naukowe Wydziału Elektrotechniki i Automatyki Politechniki Gdańskiej,

Scientific and teaching interests: studies of interaction of electrons and biological molecules, measurements and assessment of dose in nuclear medicine, radiological protection, new tools and technologies in education.

Decorations: Cross of Merit (third degree), Medal of KEN.

Lives in Gdańsk, married, mother of two children, vegetarian. Hobbies: cross-country running, various fitness activities.
