Biography
I have graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Gdańsk University of Technology (https://pg.edu.pl/en) in 1999. I received my M.Sc. degree in civil engineering structures with specialization in bridge structures.
Next, in 2007, I received my doctoral degree in technical sciences under the supervision of professor Czesław Szymczak (Scopus Author ID: 6603993146) at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Gdańsk University of Technology. I defended doctoral thesis titled: Statics and susceptibility analysis of grids built of thin-walled bars. Theoretical analysis and experimental studies.
In 2019, I habilitated at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Gdańsk University of Technology, on the basis of scientific achievement in the form of a series of monothematic publications, with the title: Selected stability problems of thin-walled structures. The subject of the scientific achievement concerned the research on loss of stability of thin-walled bars. The research was of analytical-numerical-experimental character and was based mainly on the problems of thin-walled metal and composite structures operating in pre- and post-critical (linear and nonlinear) state taking into account the global and local geometric imperfections.
I work full-time at Gdańsk University of Technology since 1999 where I worked as an assistant (1999-2007), assistant professor (2007-2019), and currently, since 2019, I work on a position of university professor (Gdańsk University of Technology) in the Department of Structural Mechanics at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering (Scopus Author ID: 55538480800).
