Simulation of signal acquisition from a rotary flowmeter

Description

The dataset contains results of simulation measuring the flow of homogeneous substances by rotational flow meter: a moment of impulse at the output of flow meter, time between successive pulses, number of pulses counted from standard generator and relative error of measurement.

The main part of rotational flow meter is a rotor (vane or screw) rotating at a speed which is the function of the fluid or gas flow rate. A pulse signal with a frequency proportional to the speed of the rotor is obtained at the sensor output. For measurements in dynamic conditions, a variable interval between pulses prohibits the analysis of the measuring signal. The impulse at the output of the flow meter appears at time ti, where the time ti-ti-1 of the previous pulse ti-1 depends on the average flow rate at that time.

The result is a pulse signal w(t) of the distance between the pulse proportional to the average flow rate.
