CRUNCH ─ Climate Resilient Urban Nexus Choices: Operationalising the Food-Water-Energy Nexus

PROJEKT CRUNCH dotyczy domykania przepływów energii w mieście w zamknięte, współzależne obiegi (Food-Water-Energy Nexus tzw. FWE-NEXUS) Przepływy są rozumiane bardzo szeroko: jako energie wynikające z produkcji, obiegu i konsumpcji dóbr i żywności, jak i mediów używanych w mieście (woda, prąd). W ramach projektu każde z uczestniczących miast wskaże obszar interwencji oraz określi swoje indywidualne wyzwania (związane z FWE-Nexus, w powiązaniu z miejską odpornością, zdrowiem i samopoczuciem) oraz przedstawi lokalne podejścia do integracji FWE-Nexus. Przewiduje się testowanie rozwiązań w różnych miastach (Gdańsk po Eindhoven i Portsmouth). Będą sie one różnić w zależności od gospodarki zasobami w mieście, recyklingu odpadów organicznych, do zrównoważonej retencji wody / zarządzania jej obiegiem, stosowanych rozwiązań opartych o środowisko. Wstępnie szacowane i oczekiwane korzyści zostaną określone ilościowo w analizie kosztów i korzyści, której opracowanie jest jednym z celów projektu.
