Technologies for Active and Independent Living in Old Age in V4

The aim of the project is to focus on how new technologies can extend independent living of older people in V4 and the time they remain active and self-sufficient. A project will result in organizing two specific sessions within 4th International Conference on Aging "Technologies for Active and Independent Living in Old Age" in which these subjects will be discussed. The conferencja will be held in Prague, in February 10-11, 2021 (https://www.engagingprague.com/). The conference will held 120 anticipated delegates including representatives of governments, technological companies, researchers, scholars, NGOs, providers of health care and social services and representatives of senior organizations from Visegrad countries and beyond. The impact of Gdańsk University of Technology is such that achievements of the University in the field of supporting living standard of elderly people will be popularized. The results of two research projects realized on Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunication and Informatics will be presented at the conference. These projects are: Smart Habitat for the Elderly UE-funded COST Action CA16226 and DOMESTIC Home assistance for Elders and disabled EU-funded, European Regional Development Fund. Additionally, due to co-organizing the conference Gdańsk University of Technology will develop cooperation with other universities and research centers located in Visegrad countries.
