Biography

He is an Associate Professor at Kozminski University and the director of the Pub-Tech (Public Sector Data-Driven Technologies) Research Center. 

Previously, he served as an H2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Widening Fellow at Gdansk University of Technology, as a Researcher at the Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies of the University of Tartu, as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Ragnar Nurkse Department of Innovation and Governance of the Tallinn University of Technology, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer at the Social and Business Research Lab of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili.

His research covers aspects related to Digital Sociology, Digital Government, and Digial Democracy. In particular, he is using the sociological perspective to tackle aspects related to the use of technology in elections: Electronic Democracy and Internet Voting. With a clear international orientation, he has research and lecturing experience in Estonia, Poland, Spain, Georgia, Austria, Hungary, Australia, Japan and El Salvador.

He is currently researching the processes of creating Trust and Distrust in Internet Voting - thanks to the funds received by the H2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Programme and the Narodowe Centrum Nauki, OPUS Program.
