A negative effect of carbon phase on specific capacity of electrode material consisted of nanosized bismuth vanadate embedded in carbonaceous matrixPublication
Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) are widely used all over the world. The LIBs belong to a renewable energy source and energy storage devices. The increase in energy demand causes that new materials of higher energy and higher power densities are still under investigation. Herein, we compare electrochemical properties of bismuth vanadate (BiVO4) embedded and not embedded into carbonaceous matrix as an anode material along with structural...
Electric transport in organic system with planar DBP/F16ZnPc junction on the basis of direct current and small signal admittance spectra analysisPublication
The objective of this work was to determine electric transport in the organic device based on a planar junction of electron donor and electron acceptor materials, namely ITO/MoO3/DBP/F16ZnPc/BCP/Ag. The analysis reported herein was based on direct current-voltage measurements and small-signal admittance spectra in the dark and under illumination. Such analysis may provide information on potential barriers, parasitic resistances...
Electrode materials for electrochemical capacitors based on poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) and functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes characterized in aqueous and aprotic electrolytesPublication
Within this work, we report a facile one-stage synthesis of nanocomposites based on functionalized carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and electroactive polymer poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene). Three different composites are investigated as potential electrode materials for the electrochemical capacitors. Two of the composites contain carbon nanotubes (ox-CNTs), functionalized by acid oxidation process (65% HNO3, 120 °C). The third composite...
Electroactive polymer/graphene oxide nanostructured composites; evidence for direct chemical interactions between PEDOT and GOxPublication
This work concerns electrochemical synthesis of nanocomposites consisting of conducting polymer and reduced graphene oxide (rGOx) as electrode materials for supercapacitors. The electrosynthesis was performed in an aqueous solution of the 3,4-ethylenedioxytiophene (EDOT) monomer and graphene oxide (GOx) without supporting electrolyte. The amount of GOx was optimized to obtain the best electrochemical performance of the nanocomposite...
Electrochemical synthesis and characterization of nanocomposites based on poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) and functionalized carbon nanotubesPublication
This work is focused on new composite materials consisting of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (pEDOT) and functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes synthesized electrochemically. Three types of composites were synthesized: the first one containing carbon nanotubes with carboxyl groups (covalent functionalization), the second one containing oxidized carbon nanotubes ox-MWCNTs (with different oxygen-rich polar groups) (covalent...
Study of the electrochemical stability of polypyrrole coating on iron in sodium salicylate aqueous solutionPublication
In this work electrochemical stability of optimized PPy film on iron in aqueous solution of sodium salicylate is studied. The main drawback of conducting polymers is their possibility to undergo an irreversible degradation (overoxidation). The overoxidized polymers lose their properties, for example, conductivity and redox activity, what excludes them from some practical applications. This study demonstrates that lowering the concentration...
Electrochemical characterization of a composite comprising PEDOT/PSS and N doped TiO2 performed in aqueous and non-aqueous electrolytesPublication
Nitrogen doped titania (N-TiO2) was used as an inorganic component of composite electrodes containing poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) with poly(4-styrenesulphonate) PEDOT/PSS/N-TiO2. The composite materials were obtained by direct electrodeposition from an N-TiO2 suspension containing polyelectrolyte (NaPSS) and monomer EDOT. The electrodes were electrochemically tested in aqueous and non-aqueous electrolytes using cyclic voltammetry...
Electrostatic interface recombination in the system of disordered materials characterized by different permittivitiesPublication
We report on the analysis of an electrostatic interface recombination in a system consisting of disordered organic materials. This process is a consequence of the polarization effect which takes place at the interface of two phases characterized by different permittivities. In this paper, the impact of tail and deep localized states on the recombination order is demonstrated. We also discuss the influence of temperature on this...
Effect of electrode resistance on admittance spectra of planar organic device carrying SCLC and on charge carrier mobility extracted from susceptancePublication
The work presents small signal admittance spectra of a sandwich system with thin organic layer carrying a space charge limited current. The effect of series resistance of electrodes on the spectra is discussed. Spectra of small signal capacitance are added to get more detailed insight. The analysis performed shows that the series resistance can affect both parts of small signal response within a whole range of frequency. Moreover,...
Ex situ XANES, XPS and Raman studies of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) modified by iron hexacyanoferratePublication
Praca dotyczy materiału hybrydowego złożonego z polimeru elektroaktywnego poli(3,4-etylenodioksytiofenu) i Błękitu Pruskiego. Wykonano pomiary spektroskopowe z użyciem technik: spektrometrii fotoelektronów wzbudzonych promieniami X (X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS)), spektroskopii absorpcyjnej struktury przykrawędziowej (X-ray Absorption Near Edge Structure (XANES)) oraz spektroskopii mikro-Ramana. Przeprowadzone badania...
Ex situ XANES, XPS and Raman studies of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)modified by iron hexacyanoferratePublication
Praca dotyczy badań XANES, XPS i Ramana polimeru przewodzącego poli(3,4-etylenodioksytiofenu) modyfikowanego heksacyjanożelazianem żelaza. Badania XANES potwierdziły oktaedryczne otoczenie atomu żelaza, którego najbliższymi sąsiadami są atomy węgla oraz atomy azotu. Badania XPS wykazały istnienie wiązań Fe-C, Fe-N oraz chemicznego oddziaływania między atomem siarki polimeru a atomem żelaza błękitu pruskiego. Obecność oddziaływań...
Preparation and characterization of Langmuir-Blodgett films of 16-membered azobenzocrown ether with naphthalene residuePublication
Otrzymano i charakteryzowano filmy Langmuira-Blodgett 16-członowej azobenzokorony z resztą naftalenową.
