Description

This is the histopathological image of PYRIFORM SINUS tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

The detailed information about the patient, sample, and diagnosis are as follows:

Age: 85

Clinical description: Neck tumor of the left side, observed for 2 months. In FNA: Undifferentiated malignant tumor cells, IHC: p63 (-), TTF1 (-), synaptophysin (-).

Gender: Female

Classification: ICD-10_10-20

Classification code: Chapter X - Diseases of the respiratory system

Diagnosis: Chronic pharyngitis

Result of the histopathological examination: The sections are covered with flat epithelium, hypertrophic areas and in sections of the pharyngeal recess with stratified epithelium, with a focal chronic inflammatory infiltrate. No cancer was found.
