Collective action against same-sex marriages_online research in Poland

Description

The study was conducted in the context of people opposing the equality of sexual minorities. At the beginning of the survey, each respondent was asked to mark their support for the equality of rights of heterosexual and homosexual persons, on a scale from -3 (definitely not) to 3 (definitely yes). The subsequent questions of the survey were formulated in such a way as to concern groups opposing the equality of sexual minorities. A realistic and symbolic threat scale was used to measure the link of the threat to the tendency to engage in collective actions. We measured also: group efficacy, multiple group membership, group identification, perceived injustice, and willingness to engage in collective action against same-sex marriage law. The study was conducted using the Polish National Research Portal Ariadna. 180 people (50.6% women and 49.4% men) participated in the study. Participants ranged in age from 18 to 76 (M = 40.49; SD = 13.88).
