Description

This is the histopathological image of BRAIN tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Result of the histopathological examination: Fragments of cerebellar cortex and fragments of Ganglioglioma (WHO I), the astrocytic component of the tumor is pilocytic astrocytoma. IHC: GFAP+, synaptophysin+ in some cells, Ki67 low (about 1%). NFP(-), EMA (-), NeuN in part of cells +, CD34 (-), BRAF600V(-).
