Description

This is the histopathological image of PAROTID GLANID tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: 2 cm palpable tumor of left parotid. 19 x 9 mm well-circumscribed hypoechoic tumor of left parotid on ultrasound. Suspicion of Warthin tumor. FNAC: lymphoid cells.

Diagnosis: Hodgkin lymphoma, nodular lymphocyte predominant

Result of the histopathological examination: Hodgkin lymphoma, nodular lymphocyte predominant (NLPHL). LP cells: CD20+, Pax5+, BCL-6+, Ki-67+, EMA-, CD3-, CD15-, CD30-, MUM1-, EBV-, BCL-2-. T cell rosettes surrounding LP cells (PD-1+, CD4+, CD3+).
