Description

This is the histopathological image of BREAST tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: History of Paget disease. 16x12mm hipoechoic tumor on ultrasound. Core needle biopsy: invasive breast carcinoma. History of neoadjuvant chemotherapy.

Diagnosis: Invasive breast carcinoma of no special type

Result of the histopathological examination: Invasive breast carcinoma- NHG3. 15 mitoses per 10 HPF. Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS)- NG3. No response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Lymph node metastases (4/11 lymph nodes). Cancer cells: CK7+, ER-, PR-, HER-2+, Ki-67 80%.
