Linear impedance of V2O5 nanorods obtained at 923K

Description

The DataSet contains the linear electrical properties of V2O5 nanorods which were measured by the impedance spectroscopy method. V2O5 nanorods were obtained by the sol-gel method. The information about xerogel powder synthesis is described in the Journal of Nanomaterials. The precursor powder was pressed into the disk-shaped pellets (12mm in diameter and 1mm in thickness) under a compacting pressure of 25 kN/cm2. The V2O5 nanorods are achieved by annealing the pellet at 923K for 10 h with a heating rate of 0.1 K/min and a cooling rate of 0.5K/min.

For the electrical measurements, gold electrodes were evaporated at the preheated and ground sample. Impedance measurements were carried out in the temperature range from 153 K to 423 K, in the frequency range from 10mHz to 1 MHz, and with the ac voltage of 0,1 Vrms with Concept 40 broadband dielectric spectrometer.

These results are part of a project defined in the Electrochimica Acta. In this paper, the information about samples and synthesis details are reported.
