Primary myelofibrosis - Male, 66 - Tissue image [1129063001729431]

Description

This is the histopathological image of HEMATOPOIETIC AND RETICULOENDOTHELIAL SYSTEMS tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

The detailed information about the patient, sample, and diagnosis are as follows:

Patient:

Age: 66

Clinical description: Patient with normocytic anemia Currently in a physical examination, splenomegaly. In additional studies on leucoerythroblastosis, LDH - 750 U / L. CALR mutation in molecular tests

Gender: Male

Diagnosis:

Classification: ICD-O_3.2

Classification code: CHRONIC MYELOPROLIFERATIVE DISORDERS

Diagnosis: Primary myelofibrosis

Result of the histopathological examination: Primary myelofibrosis Marrow with uneven cellularity, on average about 50%. The topography of the main lines of hemopoiesis is disturbed, the M: E ratio is 5: 1. Megakaryocytes more numerous in relation to the marrow cellularity, dysmorphic, irregularly arranged with the formation of several or several-cell clusters, some of the clusters are located peritellularly. The large forms with hypersegmentation of the nuclei dominate, some with a complete division of the nuclei, with the preserved N / C ratio. Significantly increased reticulin fibrosis (MF = 3) - Gomori Masson Trichrome - increased collagen fibrosis (G2)
