Description

This is the histopathological image of RECTUM tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Result of the histopathological examination: Tubulo-villous adenoma with high-grade focal dysplasia and clusters of structures similar to adenocarcinoma in situ. Invasive cancer is not found. Surgical margins are free from pathological changes. The submucosa layer is fully or partially preserved over the entire area of ​​the sample. Adenocarcinoma in situ in adenoma tubulovillosum (pTis, R0).
