Description
The data presents results of work within the studies on the building typology, Gdańsk-Stary Nowy Port district case study, study proposal from March 2020. The goal of the process was to identify the basic types of urban structure of the area and to analyse them in terms of location, connections with the neighbourhood, basic and social functions, population density, building intensity, biologically active area, the form and layout of the buildings, their location on plots and the relationship with the surroundings, as well as real estate market, residents population structure. Research was concluded with the synthesis of the studies in the form of urban and architectural structures schemes, functional diagrams, comparison to similar urban structures and presentation of basic types of urban development. The aim of the study was to understand the urban structure of the case study area. The dataset presents the study work of students of Spatial Development of the Faculty of Architecture, Gdańsk University of Technology (FA Gdańsk Tech) – 1st semester of the Master Studies (graduate studies) at the FA Gdańsk Tech coordinated by Prof. Justyna Martyniuk-Pęczek. The studies were conducted between February 2020 and April 2020. The study results in the dataset are the effect of the course of Urban Planning and Design, Spatial Development at the Faculty of Architecture, Gdańsk University of Technology 2019/2020 academic year. The study results in a dataset form the basis for further research and development studies of the district.
