The effect of raw and thermally processed spent coffee grounds on the development of Miscanthus x giganteus tissues

Description

This dataset includes the images of cross root sectioning of Miscanthus x giganteus at the end of the pot experiment with marginal soil mixed with spent coffee grounds, as well as biochar made from spent coffee grounds. Miscanthus x giganteus was planted in marginal soil with various soil amendment ratios.

The ratios implemented in this experiment are:
- for spent coffee grounds: 10%, 20%, and 50% of spent coffee grounds added into soil
- for biochar made of spent coffee grounds: 2.5%, 10%, and 30%.

Delta Optical Generic Pro microscope with camera 3MP (Delta Optical, Poland) integrated with DLTCamViewer software was used for observation.

Project title: Energy BIOmass CULtivation on marginal soils enhanced with biochar amendments fertilized with by-product in order to reduce nutrients leaching (eBIOCOOL) (3/2022/IDUB/II.2/Sc)
