Description
The profiling of tannic acid is determined by examining the content and proportion / ratio of gallotannins [Aras et al. 2016, Clifford et al. 2007, Gauri et al. 2012, Nishizawa et al. 1982]. In order to check the ion mass distribution (TIC) in an aqueous solution of commercial tannic acid, a direct sample injection (TA) was performed into the mass spectrometer. Then, to obtain the chromatographic profile, the sample was analyzed by HPLC combination with a DAD and MS (-ESI) SCAN detectors. The compounds characteristic of the MS SCAN (ESI-) spectrum of tannic acid are a combination of various intermediate forms: galloyl glucoses and galloylquinic acid. The values (m/z) [M-H] - of ions in the MS spectras (TIC) correspond to the following compounds: 169 - gallic acid, 321 - digallic acid, 343 - galloylquinic acid, 483 - digalloyl glucose, 495 - digalloylquinic acid 635 - trigalloyl glucose, 647 - trigalloylquinic acid, 787 - tetragalloyl glucose, 799 - trigalloylquinic acid 939 - pentagalloyl glucose, 1091 - hexagalloyl glucose, 1243 - heptagalloyl glucose, 1396 - octagalloyl glucose.
