Description
The data includes video traffic data registered with 5 video cameras at entry and exit lanes of the Skawina interchange within A4 motorway in Poland (interchange of motorway A4 and national road 44), located in the Krakow Agglomeration. The data covers the one day: 31.08.2017 (motorway A4).
The motorway A4 in Poland is a 672 km long, a road from the Polish-German border in Zgorzelec-Görlitz (connecting to A4 autobahn), through Legnica, Wroclaw, Katowice, Krakow, Rzeszow to Polish-Ukraine border in Korczowa-Krakovets (connecting to M10). The motorway is a part of the European route E40 (source: en.wikipedia.com).
The video cameras installed on the roads A4 2-3 cameras registered vehicles along the entire length of the section. Cameras were mounted on 5-7 meter high masts.
Collected data include:
- Motorway A4 entry lane, direction WS: 7:00 – 16:00 location: main road, min 2423 veh/h, max 3133 veh /h, PHV: 14.0 - 23.5% (point no. 801).
- Motorway A4 exit lane, direction WS: 9:00 - 10:00, 11:00 - 16:00 location: main road, min 2511 veh/h, max 3091 veh/h, PHV: 10.6 - 18.1% (point no. 802).
This study is part of MOP-DZ research project: RID2B - Modern methods of calculating the road capacity and assessment of traffic conditions of roads outside municipal agglomerations, including expressway roads, financed by the National Centre for Research and Development (Poland) and the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways.
