X-Ray photoemission spectroscopy measurements of the Nb-V-Sr-O ceramics

Description

Niobium doped strontium vanadate based perovskite SrV1-xNbxO3-δ materials were prepared via conventional solid state reaction (SSR) method. For comparison, different samples with a various amount of niobium dopant in the structure were synthesized; x = 0; 0,2; 0,5; 0,8 and 1. Samples were sintered by two-steps: first under a pure hydrogen (purity >99.999%) atmosphere at 600 °C for 10 h and at 800 °C for 10 h; and the second stage was at 1200 °C for 10 h in pure H2 atmosphere. The composition and valence states of elements in Nb-V-Sr-O ceramics were measurements. For investigatons, the XPS method were used. Analysis exhibit a mixed valence state of transition metals. Additionaly composition was calculated. It was in a line with stoichiometry of starting precursors in a solid state reaction.
