  • High-accuracy computation of hard X-ray focusing and imaging for refractive optics
    Publication

    - JOURNAL OF SYNCHROTRON RADIATION - Year 2021

A mathematical apparatus for solving problems of X-ray wave propagation through complex optical systems, when the lens thickness can change with jumps, is developed and presented. The developed method is based on the use of the superposition of oriented Gaussian beams, which satisfy the Helmholtz equation with high accuracy. The wave propagation in air and through kinoform and ordinary lenses is considered. Focusing and imaging...

  • GENERAL DYNAMIC PROJECTING OF MAXWELL EQUATIONS
    Publication

A complete – system of Maxwell equations is splitting into independent subsystems by means of a special dynamic projecting technique. The technique relies upon a direct link between field components that determine correspondent subspaces. The explicit form of links and corresponding subspace evolution equations are obtained in conditions of certain symmetry, it is illustrated by examples of spherical and quasi-one-dimensional waves.

  • A high-accuracy complex-phase method of simulating X-ray propagation through a multi-lens system
    Publication

    - JOURNAL OF SYNCHROTRON RADIATION - Year 2016

The propagation of X-ray waves through an optical system consisting of many X-ray refractive lenses is considered. For solving the problem for an electromagnetic wave, a finite-difference method is applied. The error of simulation is analytically estimated and investigated. It was found that a very detailed difference grid is required for reliable and accurate calculations of the propagation of X-ray waves through a multi-lens...

  • A high-accuracy method of computation of x-ray waves propagation through an optical system consisting of many lenses
    Publication

    - TASK Quarterly - Year 2016

The propagation of X-ray waves through an optical system consisting of many X-ray refractive lenses is considered. Two differential equations are contemplated for solving the problem for electromagnetic wave propagation: first – an equation for the electric field, second – an equation derived for a complex phase of an electric field. Both equations are solved by the use of a finite-difference method. The simulation error is estimated...

    Publication

    - Year 2016

The propagation of X-ray waves through an optical system consisting of many beryllium X-ray refrac- tive lenses is considered. In order to calculate the propagation of electromagnetic in the optical sys- tem, two differential equations are considered. First equation for an electric field of a monochromatic wave and the second equation derived for complex phase of the same electric The propagation of X-ray waves through an optical system...

  • Efficient quadrature for fast oscillating integralof paraxial optics
    Publication

The study concerns the determination of quadrature for the integral solutionof the paraxial wave equation. The difficulty in computation of the integral isassociated with the rapid change of the integrand phase. The developed quadraturetakes into account the fast oscillating character of the integrand. The presentedmethod is an alternative to the commonly used methods based on the use of theFourier transform. The determination...

    - JOURNAL OF SYNCHROTRON RADIATION - Year 2015

The speckle suppressor device containing highly porous nanoberyllium is proposed for manipulating with the spatial coherence length and removing undesirable speckle structure during the imaging experiments. We report a special device called the speckle suppressor, which contains the highly porous nanoberyllium plate, compacted from both sides by two beryllium windows. By insertion the speckle suppressor in the X-ray beam it allows...

  • Acoustic Streaming Induced by Periodic and Aperiodic Sound in a Bubbly Liquid
    Publication

The vortex ow which follows intense sound propagating in a bubbly liquid, is considered. The reasons for acoustic streaming are both nonlinearity and dispersion. That makes streaming especial as compared with that in a Newtonian uid. Conclusions concern the vortex ow induced in a half-space by initially harmonic or impulse Gaussian beam. The vortex ow recalls a turbulent ow with increasing in time number of small-scale vortices...

  • The finite-difference simulation of x-rays propagation through a system of lenses
    Publication

    - Year 2014

The propagation of X-ray waves through an optical system consisting of 33 aluminum X-ray refractive lenses is considered. For solving the problem, a finite-difference method is suggested and investigated. It is shown that very small steps of the difference grid are necessary for reliable computation of propagation of X-ray waves through the system of lenses. It is shown that the wave phase is a function very quickly increasing...

  • The vortex flow caused by sound in a bubbly liquid

Generation of vorticity in the field of intense sound in a bubbly liquid in the free half-space is considered. The reasons for generation of vorticity are nonlinearity, diffraction, and dispersion. Acoustic streaming differs from that in a Newtonian fluid. Under some conditions, the vortex flow changes its direction. Conclusions concern streaming induced by a harmonic or an impulse Gaussian beam.

  • Generation of the vorticity mode by sound in a vibrationally relaxing gas

    Publication

    - Year 2012

W I rozdziale rozprawy przedstawione zostały ogólne rozważania dotyczące akustyki nieliniowej. Rozdział II dotyczy ruchu wirowego wywoływanego...

  • Vortex flow caused by periodic and aperiodic sound in a relaxing maxwell fluid
    Publication

    - Year 2012

This paper concerns the description of vortex flow generated by periodic and aperiodic sound in relaxing Maxwell fluid. The analysis is based on governing equation of vorticity mode, which is a result of decomposition of the hydrodynamic equations for fluid flow with relaxation and thermal conductivity into acoustical and non-acoustical parts. The equation governing vorticity mode uses only instantaneous, not averaged over sound...

Wyprowadzone zostało równanie ewolucyjne dla modu wirowego wywołanego dźwiękiem, które można stosować zarówno do dźwięków okresowych, jak i aperiodycznych. Przedstawiono przykłady generacji modu wirowego w płynie maxwellowskim z relaksacją wywołanego okresową i aperiodyczną falą dźwiękową.

  • Studies of Nonlinear Sound Dynamics in Fluids Based on the Caloric Equation of State
    Publication

The sound speed and parameters of nonlinearity B/A, C/A in a fluid are expressed in terms of coefficients in the Taylor series expansion of an excess internal energy, in powers of excess pressure and density. That allows to conclude about features of the sound propagation in fluids, the internal energy of which is known as a function of pressure and density. The sound speed and parameters of nonlinearity in the mixture consisting...

Koncepcja konsekwentnego podziału i definicje różnych typów ruchu w nieliniowym przepływie dają możliwość wyprowadzenia równań różniczkowych dla współdziałających modów. Następnym krokiem w rozwiązywaniu równań jest ustalenie geometrii przepływu cieczy, wpływu poszczególnych modów itp. W polach, w których dominującą rolę odgrywa dźwięk, nieliniowe straty...
