The aim of the course is to present the basic issues to carry out the balance of exergy and entropy in addition to the balance of mass and energy. To show the definition of the maximum work that a certain matter can do in a thermodynamic process when transitioning to equilibrium with its surroundings. To refer to chemical exergy and show the application of the exergy balance to define losses in a thermodynamic cycle.
