Empirical research on the impact of the type of rail vehicle and railway surface on noise in the Tricity Agglomeration
The research is to answer the question of what type of railway surface or which type the rail vehicles during the using emits the lowest sound levels and what is the combination of the surface with the type of rail vehicle
it is the most harmful to the environment. The research will also take into account the current ones
Regulation on sound levels generated into the environment taking into account different
types of surfaces. The research is planned in the Tri-City Agglomeration, due to
dense housing development around railway lines as well as occurrence
in the spa town of Sopot, for which different noise standards apply.
The results of the Miniature research activity will be an introduction to further research, which will additionally take into account the stages of train movement, freight trains and other elements that have not been covered so far. Discernment of the topic through pilot studies will be an introduction to further work, and another result of the work will also be the submission of another application for the Opus 24 research project to the National Science Center. The research results obtained as part of the research activity will also be published in a monograph, which, together with the experience gained and scientific achievements, will be the basis for submitting an application for the award of the degree of habilitated doctor.
