Power data concentrator with innovative decision functionality and gate functionality in AMI, SCADA, HAN, IoT environments
The subject of the project is electrical power data concentrator equipped with innovative decision functions, and realized the gateway functionality in AMI, SCADA, HAN, IoT environments. The device is to be an important element of the telecommunications network for companies supplying electricity, operating on the edge of the network. KODEŚ can support intelligent MV/LV transformer stations in the field of monitoring and control of MV and LV networks, monitoring and remote control of MV switchgears, etc.
KODEŚ has the following unique features:
- an innovative gateway function that integrates a protocol converter, data concentrator, network controller, telecommunications module, network router with an advanced multilink mechanism on WAN interfaces,
- selective network integration, understood as the exchange of selected data between the networks: AMI, SCADA, HAN, IoT,
- an innovative decision function implemented in the fog (edge computing), enabling immediate call of the service in emergency cases, which is especially important in the absence of access to the cloud processing center.
These features are a way to increase the value added for customers from the energy industry interested in energy storage installations and management, the use of transformers with voltage regulation under load, measurements of electrical parameters on each low-voltage circuit, and in the future gas, water supply and heating networks and will provide competitive advantages of the project result.
Large telecommunications companies, ITU and 3GPP organizations predict revolutionary development of IoT systems within 5G solutions. The participation of Polish entities in the creation of a new technological reality is indispensable for the economic development of Poland, and the creation of a relatively cheaper mobile data transmission IoT technology will effectively support the construction of Industry 4.0.
Thanks to the implementation of the project will be possible obtaining by PG a new measuring equipment, which in turn will translate into the possibility of extending scientific research and increasing the number of publications. And in addition, the new apparatus will enable development of the didactic side and e.g. real performance measurements by students.
