Assessment of ultrasonic transmission tomography algorithms in the context of suitability for imaging the state of preservation of wooden and masonry structural elements.

Celem projektu jest ocena metod obrazowania tomograficznego opartego o propagację fal ultradźwiękowych w elementach konstrukcyjnych. Badania przeprowadzone zostaną na drewnianych belkach oraz kolumnach murowych. Analizie poddany zostanie wpływ geometrii przekroju oraz występowania wilgoci na zjawisko przejścia fali w danym elemencie. Ocenie podlegać będzie prędkość propagacji fali oraz ścieżka jej przejścia w badanym przekroju. Uzyskane wyniki posłużą do wykonania przekrojowych obrazów tomografii transmisyjnej. Dodatkowo wykonane zostaną trójwymiarowe modele odzwierciedlające obszary o zróżnicowanych właściwościach rozchodzenia się fal ultradźwiękowych. W planowanych badaniach postawiono tezę, że zarówno wilgoć jak i geometria przekroju ma wpływ na przebieg fal ultradźwiękowych w elementach murowych i drewnianych.

    In this paper, a condition assessment of masonry pillars is presented. Non-destructive tests were performed on an intact pillar as well as three pillars with internal inclusions in the form of a hole, a steel bar grouted by gypsum mortar, and a steel bar grouted by cement mortar.
