Environmental factors influencing the properties of high-strength steel subjected to the welding thermal cycle

The scientific activity is preliminary research on the properties of high-strength steel subjected to the welding thermal cycle with the use of materials with different degrees of degradation resulting from the environment. The result of the preliminary research are the development of an appropriate research plan, taking into account the critical factors. In the project 5 wire types were chosen and placed in 5 different locations and then after 1, 3 and 6 months, wire samples were taken. After that welded samples were made, which were then tensiled on a testing machine. Thanks to this, it was possible to check how the properties of steel change after welding with flux cored wires from various environments. The next stage of research will include both changes in mechanical, mechanical - corrosive, corrosive and physical properties of steel.
