The project prepares the students to participation in
prestigious human-power vehicle competitions:
- International Waterbike Regatta (IWR -
above water) and the International Submarine
Race (ISR - underwater). Project objectives: stimulation of the gifted students fot participating
in the work of scientific, design and construction groups working on
human-powered vehicles.
Financial assistance in participation for the regatta is to enable a professional development of participants and encourage them to take
new challenges. Main assumptions: The project is the
continuation of work undertaken under the program
NN2.0 and NN3.0, is designed to consolidate and develop
acquired skills and fill the gaps noticed
during works in 2017-19, in particular:
a)Minimizing resistance: racing tactics, configuration
starting unit (trim, coverage, elements
additional) and modernization of the hull shape
(CFD simulations, advanced manufacturing
composites).
b) Optimization of propulsion: research
the competitor's body as an engine and selection of the optimal one
propeller, modernization of the control system.
c) Team work: skill
cooperation and decision making under conditions
competition-related stress and transmission
experiences for younger students - preparation for
work as academic teachers.
d) Project and budget management.
e) Self-motivation and time management
f) Basic the stimulating element is to be enabling
successfully competing with foreign teams,
leveling the playing field by approximating values
available budget.
