Abstract
This paper presents literature survey on the theoretical and practical aspects of gas production from shale using carbon dioxide fracturing. Development of technical and environmental aspects of carbon dioxide fracturing technologies are also considered. Patents applicable to carbon dioxide fracturing are reviewed.
