Abstract
The method is based on a combination of previously used two separate operations namely machining and burnishing in a one complex operation implemented on a lathe. In the case of machining shafts and hydraulic cylinders of steel C45 is possible to obtain a surface roughness Ra=0,16 - 0,32 micrometers, dimensional accuracy class 7-8 according to ISO standards, and increase in the hardness of the surface up to 40%.
