Abstract

The aim of the paper is to assess the inclusion of academic teaching design to the process of sustainable development and proposals for an integrated approach in training architects. The article presents an original interpretation of environmental design in the field of architecture and urban planning. The significance of the environmental perspective is presented in the context of growing spatial and social fragmentation. The essay includes issues related to environmental design teaching. The solutions are presented on the examples of architectural and rural design programmes co-realized by the author.
