Numerical mesoscopic analysis of fracture in fine-grained concrete
PublicationArtykuł omawia wyniki analizy mezoskopowej procesu pękania w betonie podczas zginania. Obliczenia wykonano na poziomie mezo wykorzystując model degradacji sztywności z nielokalnym osłabieniem. Zbadano wpływ właściwości kruszywa, stref przejściowych, nacięcia oraz długości charakterystycznej mikrostruktury na zachowanie sie betonu.

Distortion Analysis of Gm-C Filters - Numerical Approach
PublicationW pracy przedstawiono efektywną procedurę symulacji numerycznej zniekształceń nieliniowych dla dowolnych filtrów Gm-C. Zaprezentowano ogólny model filtrów Gm-C zawierających nieliniowe elementy aktywne (transkonduktory). Przeprowadzono analizę modelu, która prowadzi do sformułowania ogólnego nieliniowego układu równań różniczkowych zwyczajnych opisujacych dynamikę napięć węzłowych filtru w dziedzinie czasu. Scałkowanie numeryczne...

A numerical and experimental analysis of multi-hole orifice in turbulent flow
PublicationIn this research study, the comprehensive metrological analysis is investigated for a 4-hole orifice with module m = 0.25 installed in the pipeline with an internal diameter of 50 mm. A detailed numerical simulation was performed for the turbulence models: k-ε-realizable and k-ω-BSL. The novelties of the research include model validation by comparing the results of numerical studies with the experiment conducted in the area of...

Numerical modal analysis of a vertical rising steel water gate
PublicationVertical rising steel water gates are very common not only in Poland and Germany but also in other countries of the world. Their popularity is mainly attributed to their simplicity of construction, which makes their production process cheaper and faster when compared to other solutions. The aim of this paper is to conduct a numerical modal analysis to examine the eigenvalues and eigenmodes of a vertical rising steel gate. Two cases...

Comparative analysis of different numerical models of a steel radial gate
PublicationHydrotechnical structures are important components in water management system and general flooding safety. Their reliability should be ensured since potential damage might lead to catastrophic consequences. Weir gates are considered to be highly vulnerable elements of each hydro power plant, with regard to its dynamic resistance. The aim of the paper is to compare different numerical models and their influence on the results of...
