PublicationOmówiono rodzaje separatorów wirowych i wskazano na problemy pojawiające się przy ich wymiarowaniu. Zaproponowano model prędkości radialnej, bazujący na bilansie masy oraz na przeprowadzonych pomiarach czasu przepływu cieczy przez obiekt, stanowiący podstawę dalszych oprac nad metodą wymiarowania separatorów.

PublicationPrzelewy szybowe należą do urządzeń specjalistycznych, toteż nie są szeroko omawiane w literaturze. Znajdują zastosowanie w dużych obiektach hydrotechnicznych, ale też w stosunkowo niewielkich urządzeniach do oczyszczania ścieków. Praca poświęcona jest określeniu współczynnika wydatku takiego przelewu, dla przypadku separatora wirowego. Przedstawiono wyniki pomiarów oraz zaproponowano empiryczny wzór, określający wartość współczynnika.

PublicationPrzeanalizowano podobieństwa i różnice między podstawowymi kategoriami separatorów odśrodkowych (wirówki, cyklony, separatory wirowe). Zaproponowano model pola prędkości w separatorze. Wyznaczono rozkład ciśnienia i obliczono siłę dryfu poprzecznego (efekt poprzecznej zmiany ciśnienia). Przeprowadzono pomiary ciśnienia w separatorze laboratoryjnym, uzyskując pozytywną weryfikację przedstawionego modelu.

Simple design criteria and efficiency of hydrodynamic vortex separators
PublicationVortex separators are locally applied for waste water treatment in different systems - from storm waste water sewerage to water treatment in fish ponds. However, the methods for separator design presented in the literature are questionable. The paper presents two simple and functional criteria that were employed to construct a laboratory test stand. The test results gave positive feed back on the efficiency of vortex separators.
