Linear Micropolar Elasticity Analysis of Stresses in Bones Under Static Loads
PublicationWe discuss the finite element modeling of porous materials such as bones using the linear micropolar elasticity. In order to solve static boundary-value problems, we developed new finite elements, which capture the micropolar behavior of the material. Recognition of Hand Drawn Flowcharts
PublicationIn this paper the problem of hand drawn flowcharts recognition is presented. There are described two attitudes to this problem: on-line and off-line. A concept of FCE, a system for recognizing and understanding of freehand drawn on-line flow charts on desktop computer and mobile devices is presented. CLICK 'n' Sleep: Light-Switch Behavior of Triazole-Containing Tris(bipyridyl)ruthenium Complexes
PublicationA set of RuII complexes incorporating triazole subunits are presented. They show a solvent-dependent light-switch effect. Theoretical calculations revealed the excited states involved in the emission process. The findings are highly important for future design of light-switch sensors and suggest a severe restriction for functional photomolecular devices synthesized by CLICK chemistry.

Possibilities of heat transfer augmentation in heat exchangers with minichannels for marine applications
