Biography

He was born in 1986 in Warsaw. He graduated in 2009 with honors from the Interfaculty Study of Environmental Protection at SGGW in Warsaw, specialty Restoration and Management of Environment.

He defended his doctorate with honors at Vrije UIniversiteit Brussels in 2015. In 2015-2017 he worked as an assistant and then assistant professor at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at SGGW. In 2017, he was employed as an assistant professor at the ETI Faculty at the Department of Geoinformatics Systems, where he currently works. During his doctorate he completed an internship as a visiting scholar at Flinders University (Australia), he won a scholarship for the best PhD students in the field of GIS and remote sensing funded by the Fundacja im. Anna Pasek and a scholarship by Flanders Government. He deals with the processing of remote sensing data, in particular classification and modeling using machine learning methods, as well as the applies remote sensing techniques in environmental process models (mainly hydrological). He published abouot twenty scientific papers. His works have been quoted more than 150 times, and the Hirsch index is 7.

He manages a research project financed by the National Science Center, and has been a contractor in many Polish and international projects financed by the National Science Center, NCBiR, LIFE+, and Belspro. Distinguished scholarship of the Minister of Science for Outstanding Young Scientist, twice the Rector's Award of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, additionally, together with co-authors, he was awarded the prize for the Internet map of the year.


He actively cooperates with all universities in which he has completed scientific internships and as part of the COST campaign, where he is a MC member.
He spends his free time mainly with his family and pursues various interests.
