Thermal Barrier as a technique of indirect heating and cooling for residential buildings
W artykule zaprezentowano koncept pośredniego ogrzewania i chłodzenia budynków mieszkalnych promieniowaniem słonecznym zwany barierą termiczną. System składa się z polipropylenowych rurek umieszczonych w ścianach zewnętrznych, w których znajduje się płyn. Koncept jest zastosowany do stabilizacji i redukcji przepływu ciepła w kierunku prostopadłym do ścian. Wykonano obszerne obliczenia MES z zastosowaniem nowego systemu kontroli,...

Autonomous Driver Based on an Intelligent System of Decision-Making
The paper presents and discusses a system (xDriver) which uses an Intelligent System of Decision-making (ISD) for the task of car driving. The principal subject is the implementation, simulation and testing of the ISD system described earlier in our publications for the task of autonomous driving. The design of the whole ISD system is a result of a thorough modelling of human psychology based on an extensive literature study. Concepts...

Emotion monitoring system for drivers
This article describes a new approach to the issue of building a driver monitoring system. Actual systems focus, for example, on tracking eyelid and eyebrow movements that result from fatigue. We propose a different approach based on monitoring the state of emotions. Such a system assumes that by using the emotion model based on our own concept, referred to as the reverse Plutchik’s paraboloid of emotions, the recognition of emotions...
