Karol Grębowski (dr inż.) pracuje jako adiunkt w Katedrze Technicznych Podstaw Projektowania Architektonicznego na Wydziale Architektury Politechniki Gdańskiej. Jego badania naukowe dotyczą zjawisk szybkozmiennych zachodzących podczas drgań konstrukcji budowlanych, obiektów mostowych (trzęsienia ziemi) oraz badania w zakresie metodologii projektowania budynków stanowiących system ochrony pasywnej (SOP) odpornych na uderzenia pojazdów oraz na wybuchy w kontekście zamachów terrorystycznych.

Studia jednolite magisterskie ukończył na Wydziale Inżynierii Lądowej i Środowiska Politechniki Gdańskiej. Temat pracy: " Analiza dynamiczna mostu kolejowego w Tczewie w związku z dostosowaniem do przejazdu pociągów dużych prędkości". Promotor: prof. dr hab. inż Krzysztof Wilde.

Doktorant na Studium Doktoranckim działającym przy Wydziale Inżynierii Lądowej i Środowiska na Politechnice Gdańskiej. Jego promotorem jest Dziekan WILiŚ prof. dr. hab. inż. Krzysztof Wilde. Pod jego opieką przygotowuje pracę doktorską nt. "ROZWIĄZANIA KONSTRUKCJI PODPÓR POŚREDNICH WIADUKTÓW OBWODNICY STAMBUŁU (TURCJA) NORTHERN MARMARA HIGHWAY W KONTEKŚCIE ODDZIAŁYWAŃ SEJSMICZNYCH".  

Autor wielu publikacji w polskich i zagranicznych czasopismach, m. in. International Journal of Applied Mechanics and Engineering, Procedia Engineering, Przegląd Budowlany, Inżynieria i Budownictwo, Material Science and Engineering, Advances in Mechanics: Theoretical, Computational and Interdisciplinary Issues (Web of Science).

Od 2012 roku posiada uprawnienia budowlane w specjalności konstrukcyjno-budowlanej bez ograniczeń. Od 2014 roku posiada własną firmę.

Założyciel i jeden z opiekunów koła naukowego BOSS (the Beauty Of StructureS) na Wydziale Architektury Politechniki Gdańskiej.
