Bio-inspired Decisional DNA in Machinas and other Man-made Systems: The Way Forward

Abstrakt

Artificial bio-inspired intelligent techniques and systems supporting smart, knowledge-based solutions of real world problems which are currently researched very extensively by research teams around the world, have enormous potential to enhance automation of decision making and problem solving for a number of diverse areas including design, manufacturing, Information Technology (IT), social communities of practice, and economics just to mention a few. In a broader sense the above defined research direction plays an important role in our effort to bridge the gap between our current society and the one embedded in semantic networks. The Semantic Web concept was first proposed by Sir Tim Berners-Lee offering a future vision of the WorldWideWeb (WWW) where both humans and machines (man-made systems) are able to communicate and exchange information and knowledge. One of the challenges of Semantic Web is smart storage of information and knowledge in artificial systems so it can be unified, enhanced, reused, shared, communicated and distributed. Our study represents an important component of addressing the above challenge and exciting, cutting-edge global research trend.
