Abstrakt

EXHIBITION documenting and presenting the output of the International workshop entitled: Drawing the Urban Landscape PLACES SPACES MODELS - PORTA AI PINTI, Florence, Italy 2024 organized within Architectural Drawing course for Bachelor students of the Faculty of Architecture, Gdansk Tech. in cooperation with Univesity of Florence, Italy, University of Pavia, Italy and PORTA AI PINTI cementary Florence, Italy. Workshop dedicating to the digital and live drawings using different techniques such as ink pen, pencil, and watercolor, laser scaning taking place in the center of Florence, particularly in the area between the The Porta ai Pinti Cemetery. This context provided students with the opportunity to work on different scales of representation in order to understand how to emphasize and narrate specific qualities of the city.. During these activities, it was possible to conduct perception analysis of the urban landscape, examining the visual and sensory characteristics of their surroundings. This analysis helped to develop a deeper understanding of spatial dynamics and relationships between architectural elements and their surroundings, an analysis of the architectural apparatus in the chosen area, closely examining the features and structures of historic and contemporary buildings. This enable students to deepen their understanding of local architecture and grasp the details and peculiarities of various architectural works. Overall, these activities gave students the opportunity to sharpen their observation, analysis and representation skills, as well as deepen their understanding of the urban and architectural context of Florence.
