Editor's Farewell

Abstrakt

By this occasion, I would like to mention the major milestones Archives of Acoustics experienced during the last years. For some years, we concentrated our efforts on introducing Archives of Acoustics to the ISI Web of Knowledge and the Journal Citation Report databases.We achieved this aim, and since 2007 Archive of Acoustics has been referenced in the Journal Citation Report. Accordingly, our next object was to obtain the Impact Factor, an important indicator of any journal's quality, and then to increase it. The IF for the year 2010 is 0.504, and we hope to raise it to approximately 0.8 for 2011. According to the new policy on journals , we are now publishing Archives of Acoustics as an Open Access journal, though the printed version is still available. This means that we are now more widely read and cited. W Liście do czytelników przywołano osiągnięcia dotyczace wprowadzenia czasopismo Archives of Acoustics na tzw. Listę Filadelfijską i osiągnięty wskaźnik Impact Factor. Ponadto czasopismo ma charakter typu Open Access, co przyczyniło się do wzrostu popularności Archives of Acoustics.
