Rola koherencji kwantowej w kwantowej technologii

The project will concentrate on the resources theory of quantum information of distributed systems. In last two decades the quantum correlations theory has been rapidly developed. As a result quantum entanglement and quantum correlations beyond entanglement have been described both in a quantitative as well qualitative way. In particular for quantum entanglement the so called LOCC (local operations and classical communication) paradigm has been established and developed. It is quite surprising that only recently the new theory of one of the fundamental resource – quantum coherence was initiated and developed. The description of the new resource is related to the new paradigm of LQICC (local quantum-incoherent operations and classical communication) which allows to establish the quantitative description of coherence as a resource. In this context still the unified approach that would put the three different resources: entanglement, quantum discord (quantum correlations beyond entanglement) and quantum coherence in one framework. The unification that would investigate the interplay of the above three resources in quantum information tasks is the main object of the project. The main specific goals will be (i) finding a full solution of incoherent quantum state merging which is an analog of one of the most important protocols of entanglement-based quantum information theory (ii) studying the role of quantum coherence in other quantum protocols such as quantum state redistribution (iii) studying the interplay between quantum discord and coherence in distributed scenarios. In addition the full indentification of the range of entanglement- coherence (E,C) pair for all pure states is planned to be provided. The results of the project are planned to be published in the best physical journals like Physical Review Letters, Physical Review X, Nature Communications.
