Application of algorithms for reasoning from imperfect knowledge in it evaluation environment

Abstrakt

The paper describes concept of building multi-agent system dedicated for information technology evaluation or selection for IT enterprises management (IT_MAS). Authors present the model of Knowledge Processing Environment, which is one of main components of the solution. Either facts or rules will be based on IT specialists' experience. However, knowledge which is being acquisited from IT domain is mostly imperfect - uncertain and imprecise. This is the result of lack of entire, objective and unambiguous knowledge concerning information technologies. Therefore correct reasoning from such resources is mostly not easy. To improve these processes authors did research and experiments that were making a use of fuzzy approach, probabilistic approach and certainty factors concept. Re-search on this problem was accomplished for two different types of decisions systems. Basing on such experience authors tried to elaborate hybrid solution for reasoning in the knowledge processing sys-tem for IT evaluation.
