We have worked out a measurement system which allows recording of an excitation tip signal and its...

The smoothness test for a density function
PublikacjaThe problem of testing hypothesis that a density function has no more than μ derivatives versus it has more than μ derivatives is considered. For a solution, the L2 norms of wavelet orthogonal projections on some orthogonal ‘‘differences’’ of spaces from a multiresolution analysis is used. For the construction of the smoothness test an asymptotic distribution of a smoothness estimator is used. To analyze that asymptotic distribution,...

FDTD-Compatible Green's function based on scalar discrete Green's function and multidimensional Z-transform
PublikacjaIn this contribution, a new formulation of the discrete Green's function (DGF) is presented for the finitedifference time-domain (FDTD) grid. Its software implementation is straightforward because only elementary functions are involved and a single function...

Absolute Photoabsorption Cross-Sections of Methanol for Terrestrial and Astrophysical Relevance
PublikacjaWe investigate the methanol absorption spectrum in the range 5.5–10.8 eV to provide accurate and absolute cross-sections values. The main goal of this study is to provide a comprehensive analysis of methanol electronic-state spectroscopy by employing high-resolution vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) photoabsorption measurements together with state-of-the-art quantum chemical calculation methods. The VUV spectrum reveals several new features...

ISSUES OF CLASSIFICATION FUNCTION CONTINUITY IN ENDOSCOPIC VIDEO CLASSIFICATION
PublikacjaIn the article a new way of analyzing the properties of feature vector functions (FVF) and classiers of images in a video stream is proposed. The general idea is based on focusing of the perceived continuity of the FVF and classier functions. Issues related to creating an exact mathematical model are discussed and a simplied solution is proposed. An exemplary algorithm is evaluated on three exemplary video sequences. The acquired...

Green's function for the wavized Maxwell fish-eye problem

Influence of transport policy on shape and function of public space

Testing the durability and function of road traffic management devices
PublikacjaTraffic management measures (vertical signs and horizontal marking, reflective elements) are used for guiding vehicles optically, indicating road mileage, marking objects in road gauge, marking vehicle and pedestrian safeguards and driver information and warning. This paper presents a synthesis of a literature study and the results of research conducted under stage one of the project LifeRoSE. The requirements for different traffic...

Integrate-and-fire models with an almost periodic input function
PublikacjaWe investigate leaky integrate-and-fire models (LIF models for short) driven by Stepanov and μ-almost periodic functions. Special attention is paid to the properties of the firing map and its displacement, which give information about the spiking behavior of the considered system. We provide conditions under which such maps are well-defined and are uniformly continuous. We show that the LIF models with Stepanov almost periodic...

The function and structure of entrance examination on faculty of architecture in Poland.

Survivability function - a measure of disaster-based routing performance.
PublikacjaZnaczenie przeżywalności sieci transmisji danych systematycznie rośnie, ponieważ awaria pojedynczego elementu może dotknąć miliony użytkowników na dużym obszarze. Zdefiniowano funkcję przeżywalności: prawdopodobieństwo realizacji określonego procentu strumieni użytkowników po awarii oraz atrybuty przeżywalności. Celem pracy było zbadanie wpływu protokołów doboru tras architektury TC/IP na funkcję i atrybuty przeżywalności. Pracę...

Hybrid Technique Combining the FDTD Method and Its Convolution Formulation Based on the Discrete Green's Function
PublikacjaIn this letter, a technique combining the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method and its formulation based on the discrete Green's function (DGF) is presented. The hybrid method is applicable to inhomogeneous dielectric structures that are mutually coupled with wire antennas. The method employs the surface equivalence theorem in the discrete domain to separate the problem into a dielectric domain simulated using the FDTD method...

Transport properties of microemulsions with ionic liquid apolar domains as a function of ionic liquid content
PublikacjaThe specific conductivity, dynamic viscosity and apparent diffusion coefficient of each of four aqueous ionic liquid microemulsions (IL-MEs) were measured as a function of ionic liquid (IL) content. The investigated systems were composed of water, hydrophobic ILs (1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate or bis(trifluoromethanesulphonyl)imide) and the nonionic surfactant Triton X-100 or its mixture with cosurfactant (butanol)....

Improved-Efficacy EM-Based Antenna Miniaturization by Multi-Fidelity Simulations and Objective Function Adaptation
PublikacjaThe growing demands for integration of surface mount design (SMD) antennas into miniatur-ized electronic devices have been continuously imposing limitations on the structure dimen-sions. Examples include embedded antennas in applications such as on-board devices, picosatel-lites, 5G communications, or implantable and wearable devices. The demands for size reduction while ensuring a satisfactory level of the electrical and field...
