Rozpatrzono dwa przypadki termosyfonu, tj. grzanie strony pionowej i chłodzenie strony pionowej oraz drugi, gdzie termosyfon jest ogrzewany na stronie pionowej a chłodzony na poziomej.

  Zinwentaryzowano strumienie cieplne wytwarzane wewnątrz budunku, strumienie cieplne docierające do niego w postaci promieniowania słonecznego oraz strumienie opuszczające budynek - jako straty ciepła. Przedstawiono mechanizmy przekazywania tych strumieni oraz ich konwersji w energię cieplną. Przeanalizowno też wpływ izolacji zewnętrznej i wewnętrznej na straty ciepła z budynku.
