Dr hab. Zbigniew Kaźmierczyk, profesor nadzwyczajny, literaturoznawca, pracuje w Zakładzie Historii Literatury Instytutu Filologii Polskiej na Wydziale Filologicznym Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego; kierownik Pracowni Literatury Etnogenetycznej, prezes Oddziału Gdańskiego Towarzystwa Literackiego im. Adama Mickiewicza i wiceprezes Pomorskiego Towarzystwa Filozoficzno-Teologicznego. Ukazał gnostycko-manichejski wymiar egzystencji w twórczości Miłosza (Dzieło demiurga, 2011) stosując język dostępu do apokryfów religii gnozy. Zgromadził argumenty językoznawcze, historyczne, religioznawcze, etnograficzne i archeologiczne na rzecz irańskiej etnogenezy Słowian i ukazał jej implikacje literaturoznawcze w pracy Słowiańska psychomachia Mickiewicza (2012). Wystąpienie irańskiego dualizmu u Miłosza i Mickiewicza (jego stwierdzenie i uzyskanie języka dostępu do opisu i analizy) traktuje jako punkt wyjścia do badań  wschodniego „cienia” Słowiańszczyzny. Metodologia wypracowana do ujęcia specyfiki kultur słowiańskich jest w tych pracach podstawą do hermeneutyki kultur Wschodu i Zachodu i rozwijania komparatystyki mitologicznej. Literaturę i myśl słowiańską czyta w perspektywie filozoficzno-teologicznej i tworzy kanon dzieł etnogenetycznej historii literatury. Autor 4 monografii (w tym 2  zbiorowych) i ponad 130 artykułów opublikowanych w Polsce i za granicą (w przekładzie angielskim, litewskim, rosyjskim, ukraińskim) w tomach zbiorowych i na łamach periodyków, m.in. „Acta Polono-Ruthenica”, „Acta Universitatis Lodziensis. Folia Litteraria Polonica”, „Česlovo Milošo skaitymai / Czeslaw Milosz's Readings”,  „Neophilologica”, „Res Philologica”, „Ruch Literacki”, „Sensus Historiae”, „Slavia: The Journal for Slavic Philology”, „Świat i Słowo”, „Teksty Drugie”, „Tytuł”, „Tygiel Kultury”  i in.  Aktywny uczestnik życia akademickiego i popularyzator nauki. 

Prof. Zbigniew Kaźmierczyk, PhD in Literature, associate professor in the Department of History of Literature at the Institute of Polish Language and Literature at the University of Gdańsk. He has displayed the Gnostic – Manichaean dimension of existence in Miłosz’s writings (The Work of Demiurge, 2011) by applying the language of access to apocrypha of the religion of gnosis. He has gathered linguistic, historic, religious, ethnographic and archeological arguments for the Iranian ethnogenesis of Slavs and he has shown its literary implications in the work titled The Slavic Psychomachy of Mickiewicz (2012). The existence of the Iranian dualism in the works by Miłosz and Mickiewicz (his term and attainment of the language of access, description and analysis) serves as a starting point for the Eastern shadow of Slavdom. Through the methodology worked out to define the specific nature of Slavic cultures he develops the hermeneutics of cultures of the East and the West as well as the mythological comparative studies.

The founder and the head of the scientific and research Laboratory of Ethnogenetic Literature. The editor and co-editor of the joint monograph: The Religiousness of Czesław Miłosz (Gdańsk 2020) and Adam Mickiewicz and Russians (Warsaw 2019), as well as more than one hundred book chapters and articles published in Poland and abroad (in English, Lithuanian, Russian and Ukrainian translations). The co-editor of the annual Studia Rossica Gedanensia (Poland); the member of scientific boards for periodical journals: Polish Studies of Kyiv (Ukraine), Revista Amazonia Investiga (Colombia), Progress: Journal of Young Researchers (Poland),  as well as the publishing series Colloquia Orientalia Bialostocensia. The president of the Gdańsk branch of the Adam Mickiewicz Literary Society, the vice-president of the Pomeranian Philosophy and Theology Society. He cooperates with the Study Station PAN in Moscow and with the Belarusian National Science Academy in Minsk (Instutite of Philosophy).

Research interests: ethnogenetic history of Slavic literatures, pre-Slavic Romanticism, literature of Romanticism and transformation of Romantic tradition in subsequent eras, Czesław Miłosz’s writings
