Konferencja poświęcona jest współczesnym wyzwaniom i perspektywom digitalizacji dziedzictwa naukowego i kulturowego. W erze dynamicznych przemian technologicznych i społecznych, cyfrowe biblioteki stają się kluczowymi instytucjami kultury — nie tylko jako strażnicy przeszłości, ale także jako aktywni uczestnicy budowania przyszłości.

On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Pomeranian Digital Library (PDL), we invite you to participate in the international conference “Heritage Online: Digitization in an Era of Change”, which will take place on October 13-14, 2025. The event will focus on contemporary challenges and prospects in the digitization of scientific and cultural heritage. In an age of rapid technological and social transformation, digital libraries are becoming key cultural institutions — not only as guardians of the past, but also as active participants in shaping the future.

Liisa Näpärä – coordinator of the ROOT project at the National Library of Finland
