Description

This is the histopathological image of CERVIX UTERI tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: VS200 Olympus slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Result of the histopathological examination: Foci of high-grade dysplasia (HSIL / CIN III), located near the transformation zone - IHC: p16 + (block reaction), increased Ki67 index, present throughout the full thickness of the epithelium. Dysplastic changes do not reach the surgical margin of the endocervix. Features of mature and immature squamous metaplasia and a moderate chronic inflammatory infiltrate.
