Description

This is the histopathological image of KIDNEY tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: Shock. Enzymatic necrosis of pancreas. Arterial hypertension.

Result of the histopathological examination: Kidneys with necrosis of the epithelium of the tubules of the cortex (shock kidneys). In addition vascular changes with thickening and hyalinisation of the walls of interstitial arterioles. Some of the glomeruli are completely hyalinised.
