Description
This is the histopathological image of COLON tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Result of the histopathological examination: Samples of the large intestine mucosa with very small foci of poorly differentiated neoplasm with immunophenotype: CK Pan (+), CK7 (-), CK20 (-), CD138 (-), CK5 / 6 (-), p63 (-), CD56 (-), chromogranin (-), synaptophysin (-), CD117 (-), S100 (focally trace +, non-specific reaction), HMB45 (-), MelanA (-), Ki67: 50%. The staining for the presence of mucus was focal, weak (+) (Mucicarmine). The histological picture suggests the presence of micro-foci of poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma in the submitted samples.
