Description

This is the histopathological image of STOMACH tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: Tumor of gastric's cardia. Dimensions: 4,5 x 2,3 x 0,9cm. After preoperative chemotheraphy.

Result of the histopathological examination: Gastric adenocarcinoma (Lauren intestinal type), ypT1b The cancer invades the submucosa of the stomach wall. Tumor with moderate grade regression after chemotherapy (10% -50% tumor regression) No features of vascular invasion. Without neuroinvasion.
